A chaotic viewpoint on noise reduction from respiratory sounds
نویسندگان
چکیده
Analysis of respiratory sounds can help the recognition of various respiratory diseases. Due to acoustic noise in hospital environments, the recorded sounds are polluted. The noise can destroy the analysis and should therefore be removed. Because of the chaotic nature of respiratory sounds, traditional noise reductionmethodsmay not be efficient. Thus taking advantage of algorithms especially devised for noise vailable online 4 December 2013

In this paper, the concept of secure synchronization of chaotic systems using adaptive and robust techniques , has been discussed and then a new secure communication scheme, based on secure synchronization of a general class of chaotic systems called Generalized Lorenz System, are presented. This communication scheme is combination of conventional cryptographic methods and chaotic modulation me...
متن کاملTime-shared channel identification for adaptive noise cancellation in breath sound extraction
Noise artifacts are one of the key obstacles in applying continuous monitoring and conrputer-assisted analysis of lung sounds. Traditional adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) methodologies work reasonably well when signal and noise are stationary and independent. Clinical lung sound auscultation encounters an acoustic environment in which breath sounds are not stationary and often correlate with ...
متن کاملIs Stretching and Folding Feature of Chaotic Trajectories Useful in Adaptive Local Projection?
Chaotic behavior is a feature associated with complex and interacted systems. Many natural and unnatural systems in various branches of science (such as biology, economics, etc.) exhibit chaotic behavior and the study of chaotic systems and signals has progressed in the recent decades. [1] Chaotic time series have a significant role in identification of their generating systems. It has been cla...
متن کاملVibrotactile Identification of Signal-Processed Sounds from Environmental Events Presented by a Portable Vibrator: A Laboratory Study
Objectives: To evaluate different signal-processing algorithms for tactile identification of environmental sounds in a monitoring aid for the deafblind. Two men and three women, sensorineurally deaf or profoundly hearing impaired with experience of vibratory experiments, age 22-36 years. Methods: A closed set of 45 representative environmental sounds were processed using two transposing (TRH...
متن کاملLung Sound Noise Reduction Using Gabor Time-Frequency Masking
The Gabor expansion is a mathematical tool, which provides a joint time-frequency representation of a given signal by decomposing it into time-frequency elementary signals called Gabor atoms. It has been used in a variety of signal processing applications, including biomedical signal processing. In this paper we present a time-frequency masking technique based on Gabor expansion for both heart ...
